Doing your nails at home is a no-brainer way to save money on your weekly manicure. I find it takes less time and comes out the way you want it, not the way your manicurist thinks it should look. Valentine’s Day Nail Art Tutorial

Valentine's Day Nail Art logo

Valentine’s Day is slowly becoming my favorite holiday. I may be partial because I’ve been dating my boyfriend for three years now and we’ve had a lot of great Valentine’s dates. January Ulta Haul

January Ulta Haul

I recently visited Ulta and got myself a pretty nice haul!

As you guys know from my 2015 Makeup Favorites, the CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer is my absolute favorite. I was running low, so I picked up another tube.

Real Techniques was on sale for buy 1, get 1 free. Since I use the Miracle Complexion Sponge to apply my foundation, I thought I would pick some up. And because it was buy 1, get one free, I was able to get the 2-packs on sale as well. One sponge costs $6.99 and the 2-pack is $10.99. I also had a $3.50 off coupon, so I basically got four sponges for the price of one. Really great deal! If you guys like or want to try out Real Techniques, this is the time to check out your Ulta to see if they have the deal, too. From what I heard, the outside packaging is changing, so that’s why it’s all on sale.

And the last thing I picked up was a China Glaze nail polish that I’ve been eyeing for a while. China Glaze It’s a Trap-eze is a light blue crelly that’s packed with rainbow metallic glitter. I’m excited to try it out!

What was your latest haul? Let me know down below!

#NOTD: Essie Recessionista

Burgundy and Gold nails. Essie Recessionista.

My mom wore Essie Recessionista and I loved it, so she gifted me a bottle alongside Essie Summit of Style. They look so great together! Can you tell I’m on a red and gold kick? It’s the holidays. I’ll have different nails soon… maybe. 😉

Recssionista was a little streaky, but I think it had to do with how I applied it. I didn’t let the coats dry long enough. But Summit of Style was so easy to apply. I got a ton of glitter on the brush and had no problem applying a even coat on my nails.

What Essie nail polishes are your favorite?
