Every now and then I like to sit down and write a list of what posts I’d like to write in the future. My monthly favorites are almost always on that list, but for some reason or another I can never get myself to reflect on my past month and figure out what products I loved the most. After seeing a few YouTube videos of people sharing their favorites, I started to think about what I truly loved last month. After much though, I present to you my September favorites.Read more
After having so much fun at Camp Gritty last year, of course I had to travel once more to the woods of Tennessee to experience Camp again. I didn’t think Camp could get any better than what it was last year, but this year blew me away with the activities and attention given to every detail.
The dance party not only was one of my favorite activities, but one of my favorite activities to get ready for! One of the actual planned activities was getting ready for the party with makeup, hair and tons of glitter. My look last year was obnoxiously green, so I chose a different color to focus on this year: pink!

Micellar water is one of my favorite makeup innovations in the past few years. It removes stubborn eye makeup without oil, it fixes makeup mistakes without leaving behind a residue and it doesn’t burn your eyes or skin like some eye makeup removers do. Since going vegan in the beginning of the year, I’ve had to switch up my skincare routine to cruelty-free and vegan products. Pacifica has a ton of micellar waters, but this was available when I went to Target. How does the Pacifica Micellar Cleansing Tonic stand up against my favorite micellar waters? Read below!
Between August 13 – 17, I was at an incredibly wonderful space called Camp Gritty (blog post about Camp to come!) One of the nights was a giant dance party, and beforehand we got to get makeup-ready with total sweetheart and talented makeup artist Rosalina Young. You probably know her as ahitsrosa on Instagram and YouTube. She’s been on my favorite makeup artists and inspiration for years (you can see a look I did inspired by her here!), and being able to get ready with her was such a cool experience!
Sugarpill and Melt Cosmetics sponsored the party, and because of that we got to walk away with a pink eyeshadow and a lipstick! I chose Melt Cosmetics Blow as my lipstick and I based my makeup look around that lipstick. Learn how I achieved this look down below!
I’ve had the picture for this look edited and ready since my last rainbow eye makeup look, but I never got around to posting about it. Right when I posted that look, I started a retail job that unfortunately didn’t pan out. Now that I have the time again, let’s start writing again!
Today I’m sharing this Green and Glitter Underliner look. This is extremely similar to the Pink Underliner look I did back in June, but this time it’s green! Underliner is my favorite way to incorporate color into my eye makeup without looking overly done or dramatic. Check out how to get this Green and Glitter Underliner look down below!
June is National Gay Pride month, and to celebrate I went down to New York to join my friends in watching the NYC Gay Pride Parade. Of course I was excited to support my friends and cheer on those who were marching, but I think I was most excited to do some colorful makeup. While on the weekends I like to get creative and rock some colorful makeup, rainbow eyes are just too bold for getting groceries. I created this Gay Pride makeup using Sugarpill Cosmetics, an indie brand that drag queens and bright makeup lovers alike love to use. Learn how to get my Gay Pride makeup down below!
It’s been a bit since I’ve blogged about makeup! Weekends are really the only time I get to wear the bright, colorful makeup that makes me feel most myself. Usually I opt for bright eyeliner with a subtle lip, and this look was no different. I took some inspiration from a look I did in 2012 and did a fun pink underliner look! Find out how I got this look down below.
I was perusing CVS (as you do) and checked out the updated Wet n Wild section. Usually I glance by the brand, but after my love for the Color Icon Ombre Blushes, I had to take another chance on the brand. When I saw that the brand released liquid lipsticks, I was skeptical. Most drugstore liquid lipsticks are notorious for not even drying matte. But these were only $4,99 a piece, so I took a chance and bought two of the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks. Did they live up to the hype? Read my review down below!
The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is one of my ultimate favorite palettes. The colors are ones that I can use every day for any look and the colors work with my skin tone perfectly. But unfortunately I’ve hit major pan on one color and a bit of pan on another. When I saw that Urban Decay was releasing the Naked Ultimate Basics I knew I had to have it. I’ve been playing with this palette for months now, and I have some strong opinions on it (as strong as opinions on a palette could be.) I’m not going to sugar coat it: I hate football. It’s fun to watch the Super Bowl, but I don’t care for it at all the rest of the year. Up until a few weeks ago I thought Gronk was a hockey player and never saw a photo of Tom Brady. But when the Super Bowl comes around, I get excited. I love the excitement and pressure of the game, the delicious food and of course, the funny commercials. Now that I live in New England I have to root for the Patriots, so I created this Pats-inspired Super Bowl makeup. Find out how I got it down below!
