Usually when I start to plan a week in my Erin Condren, I start out with good intentions. I plan out Monday and maybe part of Tuesday and create a to-do list that I rarely get to. But this week I actually planned every single day! No back planning this week. This week was purely plans, and I even got most of my to-do list done. I think part of it has to do with this kit and part of it was moving my planning supplies downstairs. Read about this Week in My Erin Condren down below!
It’s February empties time, which means me explaining my trash! Does anyone else think this concept is weird yet oddly satisfying? Looking at all the empties I’m accumulated during the month makes me feel better about my purchasing habits. It also makes me feel accomplished that I used up an entire product. Read what I thought about all these products down below!
February was a short month but yet it lasted so long? Like, every week felt like an eternity? Usually months go by so fast, but this month went by so painstakingly slow. I guess that meant I got to try out more products! Read about my February favorites down below!
For a while, it seemed like no one on YouTube could stop talking about the NYX Total Control Drop Foundation. Almost every channel I follow would post a first impressions using this drugstore foundation. I’ve passed on it multiple times at Ulta, but after the third time, it was time to buy a bottle for myself and try it out.
I was perusing CVS (as you do) and checked out the updated Wet n Wild section. Usually I glance by the brand, but after my love for the Color Icon Ombre Blushes, I had to take another chance on the brand. When I saw that the brand released liquid lipsticks, I was skeptical. Most drugstore liquid lipsticks are notorious for not even drying matte. But these were only $4,99 a piece, so I took a chance and bought two of the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks. Did they live up to the hype? Read my review down below!
After playing with the OPI Color Paints back in December, I haven’t really given them much thought. I see them at the front of my nail polish drawer taunting me to use them, yet I never pick them up. But after seeing all of the beautiful watercolor designs that magic.design makes on Instagram, I wanted to play with them a little more. While my nail art is not as beautiful as magic.polish makes, I am in love with the way this turned out. Want to know how I got this? Check out this Rainbow Aztec #NOTD down below!
Remember when I said I didn’t want to become one of those planners who rely on weekly kits in order to have a pretty planner? Well, I caved I became one of those planners. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is one of my ultimate favorite palettes. The colors are ones that I can use every day for any look and the colors work with my skin tone perfectly. But unfortunately I’ve hit major pan on one color and a bit of pan on another. When I saw that Urban Decay was releasing the Naked Ultimate Basics I knew I had to have it. I’ve been playing with this palette for months now, and I have some strong opinions on it (as strong as opinions on a palette could be.) I’m not going to sugar coat it: I hate football. It’s fun to watch the Super Bowl, but I don’t care for it at all the rest of the year. Up until a few weeks ago I thought Gronk was a hockey player and never saw a photo of Tom Brady. But when the Super Bowl comes around, I get excited. I love the excitement and pressure of the game, the delicious food and of course, the funny commercials. Now that I live in New England I have to root for the Patriots, so I created this Pats-inspired Super Bowl makeup. Find out how I got it down below!
A few months ago I ordered a bottle of my absolute favorite top coat from Glisten and Glow. After using it for a month, I realized that the consistency was off, so I contacted the brand and they were able to send me a new top coat. But on top of that, Jill sent the brand’s base coat and the Birthday Bash January 2017 nail polish! I thought what better way to show off this beautiful blurple holo than with some nail art. Find out how I used Glisten and Glow Birthday Bash down below!
