June is National Gay Pride month, and to celebrate I went down to New York to join my friends in watching the NYC Gay Pride Parade. Of course I was excited to support my friends and cheer on those who were marching, but I think I was most excited to do some colorful makeup. While on the weekends I like to get creative and rock some colorful makeup, rainbow eyes are just too bold for getting groceries. I created this Gay Pride makeup using Sugarpill Cosmetics, an indie brand that drag queens and bright makeup lovers alike love to use. Learn how to get my Gay Pride makeup down below!
It’s been a bit since I’ve blogged about makeup! Weekends are really the only time I get to wear the bright, colorful makeup that makes me feel most myself. Usually I opt for bright eyeliner with a subtle lip, and this look was no different. I took some inspiration from a look I did in 2012 and did a fun pink underliner look! I’m not going to sugar coat it: I hate football. It’s fun to watch the Super Bowl, but I don’t care for it at all the rest of the year. Up until a few weeks ago I thought Gronk was a hockey player and never saw a photo of Tom Brady. But when the Super Bowl comes around, I get excited. I love the excitement and pressure of the game, the delicious food and of course, the funny commercials. Now that I live in New England I have to root for the Patriots, so I created this Pats-inspired Super Bowl makeup. Find out how I got it down below!
I miss colorful makeup. I’ve said it: I hate being an adult that can’t wear rainbow eyeshadow to work. I think I took college for granted. Why didn’t I see that it was the only time I could get away with wearing colorful, vibrant eyeshadow everyday? Two weeks ago I reviewed the Urban Decay Full Spectrum palette, and after that, I got some serious craving for color. I prefer cooler colors like green, blue and purple on my eyes, so I went to my comfort colors. Find out how I got this look down below!
After a long time of not wearing makeup on a daily basis, it feels nice to finally wear proper makeup. I’ve been doing basic mascara and foundation for the past month since I haven’t really been anywhere. But now that I’m working full-time and working some seasonal hours, I’m wearing a full face again and I’m enjoying it. For this look I decided to use MAC Captive, a lipstick I featured in my top 5 lipsticks for winter. Find out how I got this look down below!
After playing around with makeup the other day and came up with this peach and green #FOTD using ColourPop Bunny. I bought this lipstick long ago and have never actually used it. I finally came up with a look that make it really pop.
I recently got a ColourPop order in and decided to test out one of lippies I got before heading off to Starbucks to work on the blog. ColourPop Notion Ultra Matte Lip was the reason I bought the Can You Knot bundle so I casually wore it on a Sunday afternoon.
It’s been a hot while since I’ve uploaded a #FOTD. It’s been what, two months? That’s too crazy. That’s too long without a fun makeup look. And what would be more perfect to bring back a #FOTD than with acid green and blue? Nothing. So if you want to recreate this look, read below!
Glittery, statement wings are my go-to look for when I want an impactful look that takes no time. For lunch with a friend I decided to go with a bright blue wing with fun yellow glitter. Find out how I got the look down below!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a #FOTD, hasn’t it? Well today I’m here to share one of my favorite looks in a while. This look was created using the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette (I have a review if you want to read it!) and I love the main orange color I used called Flame. I’ve never done a orange and green look before but I like the contrast between the two colors!
