It’s been a hot while since I’ve uploaded a #FOTD. It’s been what, two months? That’s too crazy. That’s too long without a fun makeup look. And what would be more perfect to bring back a #FOTD than with acid green and blue? Nothing. So if you want to recreate this look, read below!
I started out with a base of L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation with MAC Studio Select concealer to cover any redness or blemishes.
To start off the eyes I applied NYX HD Eyeshadow Base. This is one awesome primer and the only one from the drugstore that actually protects against creasing. I then applied NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk to add a white base for the bright and intense eyeshadows.
For the eyeshadow I packed on Sugarpill Acidberry all over the lid and slightly into the crease. I then blended more Acidberry into the crease. To deepen in I applied Midori with a MAC 217 into the crease but stopped 2/3 the way in. To deepen the crease further I applied black shadow lightly and used Acidberry to blend it further. I did the same thing but on the lower lash line.
The main part of the look is the eyeliner. I used Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner in Chaos to create the bright wing. I thought the blue wouldn’t show up as vibrant on top of the green as it does on top of a neutral color, but as you can see it is BRIGHT. These liners are so awesome and need the rest of them.
I finished off the eyes with two coats of CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom.
For my cheeks I used Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombre Blush in Mai Tai Buy You a Drink and used MAC Lightscapade for my highlight.
I was going to do a neutral lip, but I almost never do bright eyes with a bright lip. So I used OCC Vain Lip Tar, one of my favorite colors, for the lip. A bright fuchsia or Barney purple would look so cool, too.
And that completes the look! I had a lot of fun creating this. I forgot just how much I love super bright eyes.
